Each criterion is evaluated with a Yes (meets criterion) or No (does not meet criterion). Applications meeting most or all criteria may be prioritized for funding.
Alignment with AMGA Mission
oes the agency or individual promote gardening knowledge consistent with research and University-supported practices?
Educational Value
Does the agency or individual include a clear educational component for participants or the public?
Community Benefit
Will the work benefit community members and increase access to gardening knowledge or participation?
Master Gardener Collaboration
Is the grantee a business or individual member of AMGA?
Feasibility
Is the work of the business or individual realistic with a clear description of activities, timeline, and use of funds?
Sustainability
Is there a reasonable likelihood the work will continue, expand, or have lasting impact beyond the grant period?
Review Guidance
Applications with a majority of “Yes” responses may be considered strong candidates for funding. The review committee will consider available funds, geographic distribution, and overall program impact when making final award decisions.
